ProvisionalProvisional record. Compiled from after-action reporting pending confirmation by the agent.
Background
Team lead. Twenty-two years of federal service before the Program, most of it spent bringing people in who did not want to come.
Ran the cell the way he ran a fugitive task force — brief everyone, keep the radio open, be the last one out. The record of Gutter Key suggests he had not adjusted that doctrine to an environment where the radio does not stay open and the last one out may not be a survivor.
In the final engagement he was forced to choose which of two operators to reach. He reached the one who would otherwise have fallen six meters into the ritual floor, pulled him back onto the catwalk, and kept firing. An appendage came through the aperture and took him.
Status is missing, presumed killed in action. The reporting agent has formally declined to certify death without remains, and the presumption in this file rests on the testimony of the operators who saw it, not on physical evidence.
His family were never briefed on his involvement. They have been given no explanation and, so far as the cell is aware, believe he left them. Posthumous recognition has been recommended and not yet answered.
